James "Jimmie" Brown

James “Jimmie” Brown, 78 of Raceland, passed away July 25, 2022 in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Mr. Brown was born June 21, 1944 to the late James and Francis Brown.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Hicks Brown; along with one brother and two sisters.

Jimmie was a former steel worker for AK Steel and served in the United States Navy. He loved his family wholeheartedly and being able to take care of his love, Carolyn, brought him the most happiness. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing and being with his family. Jimmie was also an avid UK Basketball fan and cheered them on every chance he had.

He is survived by one son, Mike (Brandy) Brown; along with four grandchildren, Logan, Jarod and Maxx Brown and Kendal Hillard.

A private burial will take place in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
