James “Jay Bob” Robert Allen

James “Jay Bob” Robert Allen, 64, of Worthington, went to be with his Lord and Savior October 21, 2021 in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Allen was born September 11, 1957, in Ashland, to the late James and Bobbie Johnson Allen.

Jay Bob was a former employee of Ashland Oil, where he worked in safety and security. He was an avid Raceland Ram Football fan and loved watching UK Basketball. He enjoyed coaching kids in basketball and little league baseball; he also umpired little league baseball. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jodi Daniels Allen; two sisters Vera Ratliff and Jettie (Jim) Bradley; Tonya (Brian) Vanhoose, who he thought of as a little sister; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
