James Gamble

James Gamble, 91, of Raceland, passed away October 30, 2023, in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.

Mr. Gamble was born August 12, 1932, to the late Matthew and Virgie Blanton Gamble.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hamilton Gamble; one daughter, Vicki Gamble; brother, Ralph Gamble; sister, Ruth Williams; and a niece, Kathy McKenzie.

James was a former truck driver for Patton Lumber Co. and the state of Kentucky. He is a former member of the Raceland VFW and enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting with his coon dogs.

He is survived by two sons, Harold Dean (Angie) Hamilton and Randy Bailey; one granddaughter, Mandy Bailey; and one nephew, Jerry David Williams.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M., November 3, 2023, at Caroline Cemetery.
