Jacqueline “Jackie” Dye, 90, of Flatwoods passed peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017 in the Community Hospice Care Center with her husband of 71 years, William H. Dye, lovingly by her side.

Mrs. Dye was born April 12, 1927 to the late Willie and Grace Wells Johnson in Weeksbury, KY.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five sisters, one brother, and one grandson, Robert Christopher Blankenship.

Jackie was a devout Christian and a member of the Wurtland Church of The Nazarene. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.  Jackie spent her whole life taking care of her family, always happy to do anything for them or others. She loved working in her flowers, sewing, crocheting and reading missionary books.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her soulmate and husband William H. Dye; one daughter, Debbie (Rick) Blankenship; two sons, Ron (Brenda) Dye and Daryl (Cathy) Dye; grandchildren, Bill Dye, Stephanie Holbrook, Brad (Tara) Blankenship, Amber (Billy) Parker, Bob Dye, Heather (D.J.) O’Neal; step grandchildren, Scott (Penni) McIntyre, Erica (Charlie) Wilks; great-grandchildren, Caycee Dye, Gavin Dye, Zoe Holbrook, Tyson Holbrook, Payton Blankenship, Alex Dye and soon to be little Henry O’Neal; step great-grandchildren Morgan McIntyre , Mason McIntyre, Rylee Joiner, Alex Joiner, Scout Wilks, Kaydence O’Neal, Whitley Hall, Waylon Hall; one sister, Joanne Osborne and one brother, Bob Johnson,  and her loving long time caregiver who always made her laugh, Donna Hamblin.

Funeral Services will be at 1 pm, Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Pastor Scott Hill officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11-1, Friday at the Funeral Home.
