Irene Ison Fisher

Irene Ison Fisher went to be with the Lord March 13, 2024.

Irene was the daughter of Pearl Ratliff Ison and James Thurman Ison, born January 30, 1929.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles E. Fisher, Jr. and siblings Bessie Loraine Ison Steinpreis, Ellouise Ison Roark, J.T. Ison, C.B. Ison, Jack D. Ison and Joyce Ison Barber.

She is survived by daughter, Janice Fisher Butler; grandchildren Kendel (Brian) Butler King, Megan (Kirk) Butler Lyles, John M. Butler II; and great grandchildren Olivia, Chandler, Maddox Butler, and Amellia King; as well as many nieces, nephews and countless other family and friends.

Irene love to travel and made it to all 50 states. She was an avid gardener, and most importantly, was a doting grandmother and great grandmother. She experienced many changes in the world in her 95 years, but some things do not change. She was a lifelong member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church, a faithful servant who served God daily. This is a time to celebrate, though with a heavy heart. Hers was a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church building fund.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M., Saturday at the church.
