Homer B. Martin

Homer B. Martin, 78, of Terry, Miss., formerly of Flatwoods, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, in Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood.

He was born Aug. 31, 1940, Lawrence County, the son of the Late William H.M. and Bernice Blackburn Martin.

Homer is of the Baptist Faith and loved fox hunting with his dogs, UK Sports and Russell Sports. He was an electrician for Advance Electricity Tech Service at AK Steel.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” (Jerry) Melvin and Kimberly Martin; one son, Kevin (Janet) Martin; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; a brother, Mayo Martin; and two sisters, Lois Borders and Nancy Charles.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
