Helen Rose Maynard

Helen Rose Maynard, 86, of Flatwoods passed away April 27, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Maynard was born September 1, 1935 to the late Rev. William and Carrie Garvin Potter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Maynard; one brother, Lloyd (Joyce) Potter; along with one sister, Phyllis (Bill) Wylie.

Helen was a founding member of the River Bells Red Hat Society Chapter. She was a former sales representative for GTE and taught ceramics and was an exceptional artist. She also attended the Worthington Church of The Nazarene.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Beth Maynard; one son, Thomas (Jennifer) Maynard; two grandchildren, Brooke Maynard and Tonya Maynard; and one brother, James (Ruth) Potter.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Ashland Community Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Carman Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
