Helen Nadine Hornsby

Helen Nadine Hornsby, 75, of Flatwoods passed away February 21, 2021 in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Ms. Hornsby was born July 5, 1945 to the late Flem and Maggie Evelyn Wimmer Jones in Grundy, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Colin Hornsby; six siblings, Erma Nell Burress, Benton Jones, Joseph Albert Jones, Donald Ray Jones, Linda Lou Bowmen and Grover Walter Jones.

Helen was a former member of Flatwoods Baptist Church where she loved to spend her time on Sunday morning and evenings as well as the Wednesday services. She enjoyed relaxing and reading her bible. Nadine was a 1963 graduate of Whitewood High School in Grundy, VA.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Wayne (Peggy) Hornsby; two grandchildren, Peyton Marie (Joshua) Hurn and Jessica Rae Tice; three great-grandchildren, Draven Allen Tice, Braden Michael Tice and Nolan Hurn; one brother, Jim Jones; and one sister, Bernie Ann Stafford Delk.
