Heather Paige Green, 46, of Danleyton, left this life at her home on July 16, 2022. Heather was born on March 14, 1976, to Larry and Sonja (Thornberry) Green, both of whom preceded her in death.
Since Heather was the first baby girl born during Campfire Week, she was named "Little Miss Campfire" and a photograph of Heather and her mother appeared in The Daily Independent.
A graduate of Greenup County High School and Eastern Kentucky University, Heather was a free, sweet, loving, and independent spirit with many interests and a flair and style of her own. She loved dancing (and was an instructor of Middle Eastern dance), riding dune buggies and spending time with the family and friends at their cabin in "Profitt Holler" in Lee County. She also loved her fur babies, Baxter and Poodle.
Heather is survived by her beloved partner, Carrie Jean Slone, of Danleyton, a brother, Mark (Angie) Green of Ashland, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom adored her and are devastated by her untimely passing.
Heather's special cousin, Stephanie Neff, who was Heather's "twin" and was more of a sister to her than a cousin, said it best in a Facebook post:
"Heather, you were an amazing person who lived life to the fullest with never a complaint...You will be missed forever."
