Harold Edward Dillow

Harold Edward Dillow, 87, of Russell passed away April 14, 2022 in the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Dillow was born January 8, 1935 in Flatwoods to the late Earnest and Virgie Gilley Dillow.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Dillow.

Harold was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church where he loved volunteering. Harold enjoyed staying busy with work, refurbishing his antique truck, working on the farm and watching the University of Kentucky’s basketball and football team. His grandchildren brought him the most joy in life and he loved spending every moment he could with them.

He is survived by his “one and only” loving wife of 65 years, Thelma Nolan Dillow; one son, Ed Dillow; one daughter, Angela (Chuck Kummeth) Dillow; grandchildren, Jared (Kate) Dillow, Corey (Katie) Dillow, Max Frisbie and Sophie Frisbie; great-grandchildren, Harrison, Jackson and Brooks Dillow with one on the way; one brother, Darrell Dillow; along with one sister, Betty Ann Atkinson.

Flowers are welcomed or donations are suggested to the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church’s building fund or to the Ashland Community Hospice.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
