Harlan Edwin Phillips, 88, of Worthington passed away Friday May 17, 2019 in Kingsbrook Life Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Phillips was born in Alderson, West Virginia, June 11, 1930, to the late James and Sally Phillips.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife June Runyon Phillips; son Scottie Phillips; brothers Murrel, Garland, Roy and Carl Phillips; and sister Glenna Highlander.
Harlan was a member of the Worthington Nazarene Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War and retired as Plumbing Foreman from FCI Ashland. He was a hard worker and loved to spend time with his family
He is survived by his son Sam (Julie) Phillips; daughters, Sarah (Barry) Landis, Sally (James) McDaniel; grandchildren, Sean Landis, Justin Landis, April (Jim) Norman and Scott (Mary) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Avery Norman; his two K9 companions, Jack and Millie.
Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Carman Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Phillips Family Cemetery on Muddy Creek Mountain in Alderson, West Virginia
In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Worthington Nazarene Church.
