Gloria June Boyd, 86, of Flatwoods. passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Boyd was born June 22, 1931, to the late Felix and Lottie Tufts in Ashland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Boyd; two brothers, Jack Tufts and Bob Tufts; two sisters, Elenor Catanzaro and Doloris Helton; and a great-granddaughter, Mattellen Danielle Conley.

Gloria was a member of Russell First Baptist Church and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Russell (Leota) Boyd and John (Lenora) Boyd; three daughters, Vickie (Bill) Messer, Beverly (Bill) Kitchen, and Susan Boyd; nine grandchildren, Deana Collins, Marty Conley, Jason Boyd, Matthew Conley, Erin Messer, Sara Conwell, Evan Boyd, Shauna Boyd and Colby Boyd; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.

Visitation will be after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
