Geneva Keen Presley, 86. It is with tremendous sadness that the family announces the passing of a much loved and adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandma, fondly known as mamaw to hundreds.

A resident of Flatwoods, KY, for over 60 years, born March 6, 1933 in Davenport, VA. The daughter of the late Willie Oscar and Louisa Breeding Keen, owners of a family farm well known for producing sugarcane molasses.

After graduating from high school, Geneva worked as a teaching assistant. She married a returning hometown Soldier, Marshall Presley, the sole survivor of his United States Army World War II platoon serving in the Normandy Invasion.

Geneva and Marshall were longtime members of the Ashland, KY, Canonsburg Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as clerk for 30 years and Marshall served as a Deacon until his death in August 2000. Geneva excelled at her passions of gardening, flower arranging and cake decorating.

In addition to her parents and husband of 48 years, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Presley; six sisters, Oakley Lockhart, Charlene Presley, Ollie Perkins, Ella Sable, Edna Owens, Marie Elk; six brothers, Orville, Ira, Luther, James, David and Kenneth Keen.

She is survived by a son, Rick (Robin) Presley of Winter Garden, FL; four daughters, Rita (Larry) Salyer of Worthington, Brenda Presley of Flatwoods, Annette (Mack) Murphy of Flatwoods and Janet (John) Sweeney of Lexington, KY; three grandsons, David Murphy, Joshua Presley and Marshall Tyler Murphy; two granddaughters, Julie (Don) Hall and Shelli (Brad) Hilton; one great-grandchild, Caleb Thomas Hilton; a brother, Kyle (Peggy) Keen; and a sister-in-law, Euyvonne Keen as well as loving in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved church family.

The family of Geneva Presley would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Kingsbrook Nursing Home for providing tender loving care over and extended stay. We are also grateful for the care and compassionate staff of Community Hospice, who brought dignity and peace to her final days.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at Carman Funeral Home. Elders from Canonsburg Primitive Baptist Church will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Canonsburg Primitive Baptist Church in Ashland, KY and to the Ashland Community Hospice.
