Garry Lee Stevens, 69, of Flatwoods, KY., passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Ashland Community Hospice Care center in Ashland, KY. He was born September 20, 1947 in Ironton, OH., a son of the late Ernest Stevens and Hazel Bradley Stevens.

Garry was retired from the City of Russell and a U.S. Army Veteran. He very much enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. 

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter Lisa LaDawn Stevens, five brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years Leona Stevens, one daughter Rata (Charles) Stevens Robinette, two sisters Kay Stevens and Sue (Michael) Mowery, two brothers Neil Stevens and Wayne (Mary) Stevens. Also surviving are three grandchildren Alana Penrose, Natasha Robinette, Sa-Rai Robinette and one great grandchild Declan Xander Lee Robinette and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY., with Lloyd Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY. Friends may call at the Carman Funeral Home Monday from 11 P.M. until the funeral hour at 1 P.M.
