Tribute

Frances Elizabeth Fawbush, 74, of Raceland passed away peacefully April 5, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Fawbush was born Jan. 13, 1946 to the late Donald and Elizabeth Cummings.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Lonnie Fawbush; and one brother, Bobby Cummings.

Frances was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family teaching them the values of God and family. Fran loved playing cards around the table, she said it was a good time to share.

Fran was a devout Christian and it showed in how she treated people, She was always caring of others. Though she only gave birth to 3 children, many called her mom, and sought her advise or just her ever loving & listening ear. To unwind you might find her with a glass of wine, chatting with someone she loved.

She is survived by one son, David (Tanya) Fawbush; two daughters, Elizabeth Fairchild and Sheila (Scott) Hicks; grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Akers, Whitney Nicole (Kenny) Akers-Fisher, Staff Sargent Trevor (Suzy) Fawbush, Lance Corporal Josiah (Ashleigh) Fawbush, Monica Frances Fawbush, Elijah Hicks and Jonathan Girgis; great-grandchildren, Tamaira Akers, Peyton Akers, Aiden Fawbush, Adam Fawbush, Tristan Fawbush, Leila Fisher, Abby Fisher and Rhonie Fisher; along with two sisters, Faye Rains and May Risley.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Ashland Community Hospice.

You left us too quickly, In the blink of an eye

I wish I could bring you back God knows that I’d try

You treated me like your own Whether I was hungry or without a bed

All the good seeds you’d sewn I remember all the things you said

You taught me about caring And taught me of love

Just do your best, and listen to the man above

For he was the one that put you in my life

My heart is in pieces, please pull out this knife

Tell me it’s a dream, Nightmare, or some other

You made a place for me When others wouldn’t bother

You never judged me, Or looked down your nose

You really loved me The choice that you chose

All the shows I’ve seen Talking about mother in law’s

I thank God for sending Me the best one of all

I LOVE YOU FRAN!!
