Ezra "Jim" Edwards Jr.

Ezra Jim Edwards Jr., 79, of Wilmore, KY., formerly of Flatwoods, passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019 in the Thomson Hood Veterans Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 11, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Ezra Edwards and Effie Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jenny Edwards; two brothers Richard and Robert Edwards; and one sister Madeline Edgington.

Jim proudly served his country with the United States Army. He was a former Utility worker. In his spare time enjoyed Golfing and watching the Kentucky Wildcats play basketball

Jim is survived by his daughter Jamie (David) Slone; son Chris (Chandra) Edwards; sister Jean “Red” Morgan; grandchildren Justin, Jared, Andreah (Jacob) Williams, McKenzie, Bailey, Landon; great grandchildren Paisley, Tinley, Kaysen, and baby Noah that will arrive in August.

Military Graveside services will be at 1 P.M., Thursday, May. 9, 2019, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens with Keith Menshouse speaking words of comfort.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to assist with final expenses.

Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods has been entrusted with services.
