Ellouise Ison Roark

Ellouise Ison Roark, 87, of Flatwoods passed away Jan. 16, 2020 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mrs. Roark was born Jan. 4, 1933 to the late James and Pearl Ratliff Ison in Flatwoods.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Garald Roark; four siblings, Bessie Steinpreis, J.T. Ison, C.B. Ison and Joyce Barber.

Ellouise was a member of the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of various groups for many years. She retired from the accounting department for Ashland Oil. She was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Clayton and Connie Roark; one son, Rick (Sarah) Roark; grandchildren, Kelly (Brad) Williams, Jill (Corey O’Malley) Riddell, Sunny (Aaron) Barna, Nathan (Alia) Roark, Matt (Hailey Bayes) Roark, Eli Gilliland, Cassie (Casey) Hamilton, Alyssa Roark, Samantha Roark, Keoni Ancheta, Issac Grimm and Alyvia Grimm; great-grandchildren, Riley Williams, Tallon Roark, Ian Roark, Tristan Roark, Connor Roark, Gage Roark, Addie Hamilton and Raegan Hamilton; one brother, Jack (Pat) Ison; one sister, Irene Fisher; along with a host of many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Advanced Memorial United Methodist Church building fund.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Jan 20, 2020 at the Advanced Memorial United Methodist Church in Flatwoods. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Church.
