Ellen Stevens

Ellen Stevens, 69, of Ashland, passed away, March 24, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Stevens was born Aug. 5, 1948, to the late Cline and Maggie Sergent.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Sherman Stevens; and one brother, Robert Sergent.

Ellen loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker and had a passion for animal.

She is survived by two daughters, La’Shon (Curtis) Pohlman and Lamonica (Timothy) Friedman; seven grandchildren, Evan, Jacob, Alex, Austin, Sunshyne, Gabriel and Audriana; one brother, William “Buck” Sergent;  and one sister, Joyce (Joseph) Johnson.

 A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
