Ella Opal Chapman Stanley

Ella Opal Chapman Stanley, 95, of Columbus Ohio, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2020 at the Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber.

She was born in Danelyton, July 20, 1924, to the late Willard and Myrtle Chapman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stanley; one brother, Willard Chapman Jr.; son-in-law, Mike Midkiff; and one step-daughter, Sharon Kay.

Ella was a member of the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and embroidery.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Marie Midkiff and Judith Carol Burgess; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Amanda, Shawn, Stephanie, Doren and Greg; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Chapman; sisters, Marie Smith and Wilma Pelfrey; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Private Graveside Services will be at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Carman Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
