Earl D Powell

Earl Dwayne Powell, 84, of Okeechobee, FL, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2021 in the West Palm Beach FL, VA Medical Center.
He was born February 19, 1937 in Flatwoods to the late William “Boomer” and Alta Dills Powell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Jimbo Powell; one brother, Tom Powell and his ex-spouse, Billie Lea Powell.
Earl was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Korean War and was a past Mason. He was a former employee of Armco Steel and a devoted Christian who Pastored for the Church of The Nazarene for over 40 years. He was also an avid fisherman and golfer.
Surviving is his wife Nadine Powell; two sons, David Lee (Diane) Powell and Robert (Jackie) Powell; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Carman Funeral Home with Delbert Allison officiating.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens- Flatwoods, KY
