Doris Rose Neil Vanderhoof, 91, of Russell, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
She was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Garrad, Ill., to the late Robert F. Scott and Ethel Scott.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Vanderhoof Jr.; two sisters, Virginia Russell and Clara Dean Scott; and her first husband, Carl J. Neil.
Doris was a member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved playing the piano and the organ, singing, fishing and camping, but her most favorite pastime was spending time with family.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla Neil Stepp and Ramona (Rocky) Lane; two brothers, Robert J. Scott and Charles Scott; one sister, Mary Lee Claxton; three grandchildren, Scott Stepp, William “Bill” (Lindsay) Lane and Natalie Lane Williams; two great-grandchildren, Charles Lane and Brycen Williams.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after noon Sunday at the funeral home.
