David W. Tompkins

David W. Tompkins, 78, of Flatwoods passed away Nov. 14, 2019 in Kings Daughters Medical Center.

Mr. Tompkins was born June 5, 1941 to the late William and Nellie Tompkins.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Alberta Tompkins.

David was a former Detective for the D.C. Metro Police in Washington D.C. He was an avid golfer with outstanding scores at the River Bend Golf Course.

He is survived by his wife, Vondia Clary-Tompkins; daughters, Reba (William) Nance-Hall, Carol Tompkins and Denise Tompkins; granddaughter, Willow Reba Shianne Nance; special friends and neighbors, Ronnie and Ann Grimm.

At the request of David there will be no services at this time.
