David Bland 72, of Ashland passed away Feb. 20, 2018 in Crystal Care of Coal Grove.

Mr. Bland was born Feb. 21, 1945 in Flatwoods, to the late Oscar and Virgie Bland.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son Anthony Bland; one brother Jimmy Bland; one brother-in-law James Blankenship.

David was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed rooting on the University of Kentucky Basketball team and in his younger years was an avid baseball card and model car collector.

He is survived by two daughters, Rhiannon (Chuck) Keller and Sherri (Sean) White; one son, Michael Bland; grandchildren, Nicholas Mineer, Skylar Lyons, Leah Keller, Haylee Keller, Derrick White and Sean White; one brother, Billy (Patricia) Bland; one sister, Barbara Blankenship.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be after 9 am, Friday at the funeral home.
