Darrell Barker

Darrell Lee Barker, 66, of Flatwoods, passed away September 11, 2022 in the University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Mr. Barker was born August 16, 1956 in Ashland to Janet Burke Barker and the late Billy Barker.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Christopher Barker; along with one sister-in-law, Betty Barker.

He retired from CSX Railroad after 42 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whom he loved unconditionally. He loved four-wheeling with his grandchildren, dirt races, camping with his friends, raising chickens, traveling, going to car events with his son and was a die-hard UK fan. Darrell lived every day to the fullest and loved life.

He is survived by one son, Brandon (Rebecca) Barker; one daughter, Natasha Barker; grandchildren, Mila, Nathan, Brandon, Aiden, Autumn, Ayden, Angel, Christopher Jr., Harleigh and Chaydon, who he thought of as a grandson; along with three brothers, Danny Barker, Gary (Lisa) Barker and Rick (Sherry) Barker.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, September, 19, 2022 at Carman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
