Darlene Hayes

1928-2017

Darlene Hayes, 89, of Russell passed away December 16, 2017 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mrs. Hayes was born November 26, 1928 to the late Lindsey and Nevada Potter Miller in Greenup, KY.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Woodford “Woody” Hayes; two sisters and five brothers.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, White Shriners. She also enjoyed sewing, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her son Jimmy Hayes; grandson, Christopher Hayes and his wife Angela; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zailey, Madilynn and Nolan Hayes; sisters, Imogene Kimberlain and Wanda Lee Caudill; a friend Glenda Hayes; along with many other nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 11 am, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Carman Funeral Home with Brother Mark Salyers officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
