Darkis Fay Wright

Darkis Fay Wright, 84, of Flatwoods passed away August 16, 2018 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mrs. Wright was born Oct. 1, 1933 in Morgan County to the late Eddie and Myrt Hill.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Freelin Wright Sr.; one daughter, Carolyn Wright; siblings, Robert,  Fred, Bruce and Ray Hill, Dorothy Grimm, Dexter Cantrell.

Fay was a former member of the Flatwoods Church of Christ and Order of The Eastern Star. She loved to read and always cared about the wellbeing of others. Fay was also an avid Cincinnati Red’s Baseball fan

She is survived by one Daughter, Linda (Donald Jr.) Carter; two sons, Freelin (Sylvia) Wright and Matthew (Joanna) Wright; five grandchildren, Cierra Clark, Jaimi Clark, Sarah Wright, DJ Carter III, Garrett (Natasha) Carter; five great-grandchildren, Talan Carter, Mya Carter, Kapri Carter, Jaya Simpson and Jamaya Toney; two sisters, Loretta Wright and Sophie Kelly.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be after 11 am, Monday at the Funeral Home.
