Clarence E. Clarke, 79, of Flatwoods, passed away May 27, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at home.
Mr. Clarke was born in West Russell, March 15, 1940, to the late Clarence B. and Katherine Clarke.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Benny Lee Clarke and Marshall Raymond Clarke.
Clarence was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Every morning he would drink his coffee at McDonalds with his friends. He was a previous coach of the Russell/Flatwoods Little League; loving baseball, softball or anything that his grandchildren were involved with.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 and a half years, Diana Lynn Clarke; one daughter, Nevada (Brian) Clarke Ange; two sons, Christopher Lee (Christie) Clarke and Tony Edward Clarke; four grandchildren, Taylor Allison Ange, Claire Estella Ange, Parker Christian Clarke and Joseph Lee Clarke; along with a host of extended family, friends and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to be made in Mr. Clarke’s name to Community Hospice.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Rev. Donald Estep and Rev. James R. Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Northeast.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the funeral home.
