Clara Lee Wilson Oxley, 85, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Kingsbrook Life Care Center.
Ms. Oxley was born October 4, 1934, to the late Boyd and Pearl Lester Wilson.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Oxley; one brother, Jack Wilson; and one sister, Anna Jean Mann.
Clara was of the Pentecostal Faith. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughter and grandchildren as well as making outfits for dolls. She had a servant’s heart with a laugh that could warm your heart. While unwinding, she would have an oatmeal cream pie along with a hot dog or BBQ sandwich. Clara was also known for her potato salad at Church events. Also, Clara was a lover of frogs, collecting many figurines of them over the years.
Surviving is one daughter, Missy (Randy) Smith; two sons, Jerry (Carol) Frisby and David Frisby; grandchildren, Michael (Jodi) Frisby, Justin Frisby, Jordan (Bruce Morrison) Smith and Brandon (Caitlin) Smith; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Claire Smith; special friend from Kingsbrook, Sandy Keaton; and her baby doll, Rosie.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kingsbrook for the exceptional care provided to Clara.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
