Tribute

Chris White of Greenup passed away following a brief illness.

Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Stone Hamilton, step-father, Terry Hamilton, beloved son, Christopher Jacob “CJ” White, and his grandmother, Iva “Tootsie” Stone.

Chris left behind a family he loved. He is survived by his wife, Heather White. Together they raised a big beautiful family. Chris was a father to Tyler (Stephanie) Huston of Sciotoville, OH, Cameron Lee White, Mekynna Renae White, and Paige Leighann White of Lloyd, KY. Chris helped to raise three step-daughters, Taylor Nichole Alexis Sammons, of Ashland, McKayla Rose Sammons and Lauren Elizabeth Sammons of Greenup. Chris was helping to raise his niece and nephews since October of 2020, Cora’beth Hamilton, Greg Clara and Aiden Hamilton. Together Chris and Heather shared two children, Mason Andrew Wayne White and Abigail Grace White. His grandchildren, Carter Huston, Brantley Huston and Averie Huston. He is also survived by his older brother, Gene (Dusty) White of Minford, OH, his youngest brother, Terry (Tonya) Hamilton of Richmond, KY and sister, Iva Elizabeth Hamilton; along with a host of half siblings, extended nieces, nephews, cousins, soccer family and friends.

Chris was an Emergency Medical Technician throughout most of his adult life working at several agencies throughout his career. However, recently Chris has left the field so that he could be home more and was most recently working at Vertiv in Ironton as a forklift driver and was working towards his welding certificate.

Chris’s biggest passion in life was his children. He loved being there to support them all in their endeavors, from band, basketball to archery and everything in between. However, anyone who knew him knew his biggest love was being on the soccer fields, helping coach, or watching and cheering on all the kids. He loved his family and the beautiful life he had created and will forever be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Carman Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Carman Funeral Home burial will follow in Old Field Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
