Brooke E. Sparks

Brook E. Sparks, of Raceland, wife of Dr. Joe Sparks, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, following a gallant four yearlong battle against cancer.

Mrs. Sparks was born June 25, 1952, in Oakland, MD, to Dolores Breedlove and the late Larry Breedlove.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry A. Breedlove; and a sister-in-law, Gloria of Oakland, MD.

Brooke was a school teacher for many years and later supported her husband’s career with the Air Force. She loved antiquing and reading and was a member of the Raceland Christian Church for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dr. Joe Sparks; mother, Dolores S. Breedlove; three brothers, Brent (Heidi) Breedlove of Wilson, VA, Brian Breedlove of Oakland, MD and Blake (Sara) Breedlove of St. Augustine, FL; several nieces and nephews; and two longtime friends, Ann (Elmer) Mullins of Columbus, IN and Cheryl (Denny) Deborde of Flatwoods.  

There will be no services scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Raceland Christian Church Building Fund, 210 Caroline Rd, Raceland, KY 41169.
