Brenda Faye Howard Bowen, 69, of Flatwoods went home to be with her Lord and Savior December 22, 2020 in Kings Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. Bowen was born November 3, 1951, to the late Carl and Amy Myrtle Wells Howard in Ashland.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant baby daughter, Wendy Dawn Bowen; and one sister, Margrietta Howard.
Brenda was a member of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Raceland. She loved camping, canning food from the garden and being a Mamaw. She loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Gary Bowen; one son, Garry Shane (Adriene) Bowen; one daughter, Brandy Donielle (Stephen) Jervis; grandchildren, Delaney Jervis, Jackson Bowen, Bowen Jervis, Sawyer Bowen, Crosby Bowen, Brentley Jervis; Three additional children that she loved very much; Baylor and Emma Kay Ruark and Austin Crawford; Her mother; Edith Howard; three brothers, Lloyd (Brenda) Howard, Carl Ray (Karen) Howard and Ralph (Janice) Howard; four sisters, Hattie (Allen) Zabrieszack, Patricia (Thomas) Howard, Barbara (Ralph) Hutchinson and Anita (Ronnie) Goodson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Carman Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Keaton officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Bark and Mausoleum.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Funeral Home.
