Brenda Parker-Triplett

January 7, 1956 ~ January 12, 2024 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Tribute

Brenda Parker-Triplett was called home, on January 12, 2024.

Brenda was born in Richmond, California to the late Teddy and Mary Parker on January 7, 1956. She attended school in Fremont, California, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1974. Brenda held several jobs throughout her life; working for IBM, Rolm, Macy’s, and ultimately finding her forever work family at Modesto Irrigation District. Brenda worked at MID for over 20 years; where she retired as a senior service center representative. She always talked about her time at MID with pride and bragged about the tight knit community she had with her colleagues-always describing them more as family than friends.

On July 2, 2005, Brenda married Jeffrey Triplett in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Brenda was known by many names; Brenda, Brenda-boo, sister, mom, Madre, and Mommom. Of all the names she answered to Mommom was her very favorite. When she became a grandma, she found her calling in life. There was nothing more important in this world to her than her family.

Brenda is preceded in death by her grandparents Loyd and Gertie Brasel, Albert Monroe and Roxie Parker, her parents Teddy and Mary Parker, and several aunts and uncles.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 18 years Jeffrey Triplett, of Ashland, KY. Daughter Amber Griffith, of Ashland, KY, son Benjamin (Alyssa) Griffith, of Ashland, KY. Aunt Betty (Jim) Young, of Modesto, CA. Sister Pamela (Larry) Graves, of Manteca, CA. Sisters-in-love Teddi (Mike) Caldwell of Flatwoods, KY, Kristie (Roland) Scarberry of Argillite, KY, Dorene (Junior) Coffee of Greenup, KY,  and Deedee (Scott) Bell of Ashland, KY. Granddaughters Audrey and Brooklynn Griffith of Ashland, KY. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her departure has left those she knew and loved with a huge void.

Brenda’s family would like to thank the Intensive Care Unit at Kings Daughters Medical Center for the wonderful care provided to our beloved Mom, wife, sister, and Mommom.

In lieu of Flowers donations are requested to assist in final expenses.
