Bonnie Gower Reaves, 84, of Flatwoods, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Kings Brook Life Care Center with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born on December 11, 1930 in Florence, NC to the late Damond and Bessie Manning Gower.
Mrs. Reaves retired from the city cashiers office in Opelousas, LA and also from the Board of Realtors in Polar Bluff, MO. She was a member of the Flatwoods Church of Christ.  Bonnie enjoyed being an exemplary ministers wife to her late husband of 42 years Ralph Elwood Reaves whom passed away in 1999. She also enjoyed card writing, writing childrens' Bible stories; but most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Besides her parents and late husband , Bonnie was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Joseph Gower in 1993, one daughter Susan Reaves in 1997, a grandson-in-law Roger Ancheta in 2013 and infant twin sons in 1957.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving children, one son R. David (Pamela) Reaves of Etowah, NC and one daughter Patti J. Reaves of Ashland, KY, six grandchildren; Miranda (Brad) Walker of Smyrna, TN, Dustin Reaves of Etowah, NC, Sarah Ancheta of Flatwoods, KY, Bethany Davis of Mt. Sterling, KY, Robert (Irene) Bell of Dixon, CA, and Michael Bell of Etowah, NC.; twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Flatwoods Church of Christ at 7:00PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to service time at the church.
There will be a secondary service held at Malden Church of Christ on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1:00-2:30PM. Burial will follow in Malden Memorial Park Cemetery at 3:00PM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ralph Reaves Scholarship Fund, Freed-Hardeman University, Henderson, TN www.fhu.edu
