Mrs. Boneva Back, 74, of Flatwoods, Kentucky went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was born October 9, 1947 in Greenup, KY, a daughter of the late Boyd and Hilma Burgess Willis.

Boneva grew up in Greenup and spent her childhood riding horses. She was a member of the Greenup County High School Jazz band and a graduate of Morehead State University.

Boneva was a member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 40 years where she was active in the Bessie Howes Class and United Methodist Women. She was a lifetime member of Parent Teachers Association and spent countless hours volunteering at schools while raising her daughters. Boneva was a charter member of Partners in Pride in Russell. She was a passionate elementary teacher in the Russell Independent School District where she taught at McDowell, Bellefonte, and Russell Central Elementary Schools. She finished her career as an aid at Crabbe Elementary in Ashland.

Boneva was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ronnie Back; three daughters, Kori (Will) Rivers of Huntsville, AL, Kristin (Michael) Gipson of Crestwood, KY and Erin (Casey) Ryan of Walton, KY; six grandchildren, Keely Rivers, Lucy Gipson, Kloe Rivers, Grady Gipson, Rue Ryan and Reed Ryan; one sister, Patricia Cardwell of Bellbrook, OH; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Partners in Pride, PO Box 222, Russell, KY 41169.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Advance Memorial United Methodist Church with Don Young officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., Sunday at the Church.
