Bobbie Mitchell, 91, of Flatwoods passed away Feb. 6, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Mitchell was born Nov. 30, 1926 to the late Bruce and Marie Mitchell in Portsmouth, OH.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Mitchell; sister Donette Burns.

Bobbie was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Mead Memorial United Methodist Church and served as the Methodist Men’s President for 20 years. Bobbie was a Mason and a retired employee of CSX Railroad. He enjoyed building bird houses and playing card games.

He is survived by one daughter Mindy Marie Belcher and her husband Tom; granddaughter, Kelsie Pierce; great-grandchild, Jeracin Pierce Rice.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M., Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 10 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
