Bobbie Allen

Bobbie Johnson Allen, 94, of Flatwoods passed away August 17, 2019 in Kings Daughters Medical Center.

Mrs. Allen was born June 19, 1925 in Ashland to the late Strother and Lillian Hogge Johnson.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James V. Allen; three sisters, Dixie Johnson, Bonnie Nelson and Becky Johnson; two brothers, Gene Johnson and Gary Johnson; and son-in-law, Harold “Weasel” Ratliff.

Bobbie was a member of the Raceland Christian Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles; known for her famous pie crusts; spending time with her family and wintering at the beach.

Surviving is two daughters, Vera Ratliff and Jettie (Jim) Bradley; one son, Jay (Jodi) Allen; four grandchildren, Jill (Tim) Cofield, Jim (Mary) Bradley, Jeff (Melissa) Ratliff and Suzanne (Chris) Stephens; 7 great-grandchildren; and one brother Jack Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home with Greg Denton officiating.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
