Billy Moore

Billy P. Moore Sr., 93, of Flatwoods passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born June 15, 1926 in Ashland, KY, to the late Hubert and Buelah Edmund Moore.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Clara Moore; one son, John Anthony Moore; one daughter, Sharon Kay Moore.

Billy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flatwoods. He served his country proudly during World War II as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps. He retired from AK Steel after 47 years as a welder. He enjoyed bluegrass music, golfing and the University of Kentucky Basketball.

He is survived by one son, Billy Jr. (Jane) Moore; Grandchildren, Christopher (Katherine) Moore, Justin Hay, Joshua Moore, Wesley Moore and Claire Moore; and 4 Great grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Flatwoods.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till the service time at 1:00 P.M.  Thursday at the Funeral Home.
