Betty Jo Clark Perdue, 84, went home Aug. 16, 2019.
She was born Aug. 13, 1935, to the late Doc and Mary Adkins Clark.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Perdue; siblings, George, Gene, Walter, Ray and Larry Clark, Jewel Cantrell, Ruby Evans, Dorothy Griffith, Irene Barney, Rhoda Davidson.
Betty retired from the Russell Independent Schools. Betty was a caregiver at Heart, she loved to cook, stayed busy working and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and her grand-dogs.
She is survived by two brothers, Carlos “Cecil” Clark of Flatwoods and John Clark of Ashland; two daughters, Regina (James) Price and Connie (Ryan) Harper; grandchildren, Seth (Samantha) Harper, Megan (Cole) Redmond and Austin Price, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Brother John Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
