Betty Jo Adkins, 83, of Greenup passed away peacefully Oct. 3, 2017 in the Trinity Station Retirement Community.

Mrs. Adkins was born May 27, 1934 to the late Perry and Zena King Hoskinson in Salt Rock, WV.

Betty was a member of the Flatwoods Church of Christ. She loved to make quilts and work in her gardens.

Surviving is the love of her life and husband of 67 years, Edmond Ray Adkins; two daughters, Vicki (Brad) Belcher and Debbie (Carl) Keyes; two sons, Butch (Carla) Adkins and Mike (CJ) Adkins; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Waldo Hoskinson, Melvin Hoskinson, David Hoskinson, Andrew Hoskinson and John Hoskinson.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm, Sat., Oct. 7, 2017 at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Mark Day officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
