Barbara Ann McAllister Hazel

She hopped a quick train for a new destination, and at 11:27 she pulled into the station. Her husband stood on the platform with his arms open wide. He was eagerly awaiting his Forever Bride! Then up walked Jesus, she fell to her knees! He lifted her up and kissed her soft on the cheek. A tear slid down; He said " Hey, none of that! This is Heaven my child" and gave her shoulder a pat. "Tears don't belong in this Heavenly creation! And now it is time for our big celebration!"

Barbara Ann McAllister Hazel went Home on July 30th, 2019 at 11:27 a.m. She was born July 12, 1935 to the late Buford and Dora Jane Caudill McAllister; Married Shelby Hazel August 1st, 1957.

In addition to her loving husband Shelby and parents she is preceded in passing by her siblings, Gloria Jean McAllister Bradley, William (Sam) McAllister, Veronica Sue McAllister McCabe, and Constance Elaine McAllister Lazenby all went on before her, and has many nieces and nephews.

She rejoined her husband, Shelby W. Hazel, right before their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 1st.

Then she met our Lord and Savior, sweet Jesus, and He wiped away every tear! She left behind a son and a daughter, and two grandchildren; who she believed caused the Sun to set and the Moon to rise!

Left behind to carry on her legacy is one son, Shelby William Hazel, Jr.; one daughter, Drenna Hazel; granddaughter, LaceyAnn C. Hazel; grandson, Ian- Brandon W. K. Hazel; daughter- in Law, Polly White Hazel.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2019, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Jack Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the funeral home.
