Anthony Lee Kershner, 60, of Flatwoods, was born in Ashland February 19, 1961. The son of William Duncan and Juanita Wells Kershner. Anthony started his career on the railroad and soon found his passion in the construction industry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Anthony passed away September 3, 2021 after cheering on his grandson, D’Marques Kershner, playing football for Russell High School, the same school which he played for when he was in school.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Guy Kershner.
He is survived by three daughters, two step-daughters and two sons, Nicole Kershner, Amanda (Joshua King) Kershner, Michelle (Matt) Powell, Johnathan (Sarah) Kershner, Amanda Friedlund and Jenifer (Adam) Jerez. He lived with his love, Dawn Friedlund and three grandchildren, D’Marques, Aleighya, and Jaelynn. His other grandchildren are Lilli, Grace, Wyatt, Hunter, Amaris, Kyah, Paisley, Ethan and Ollie. His siblings are two brothers, Charles Jachimczuk and Les Kershner and two sisters, Christy (Jimmy) Stevenson and Shelia Campbell, along with many more family and friends.
He was always the center of attention and life of the party. He was such a jokester, you could rarely not smile with him in the room. He was greatly loved and will be missed forever.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Carman Funeral Home to assist in final expenses or to the Russell High School Football Boosters.
Services will be held at graveside at a later date.
