Allen Murray, 68, of Flatwoods, passed away October 28, 2023, at his home.
He was born September 9, 1955, in Alameda, CA, to the late Leroy and Dorothy Peterson Murray. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by an infant brother, and niece, Rachel Hunt.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Janet Wells Murray; three sons, Zachary (Hilary) Murray, Raymond (Magan) Murray and Aaron (Kimberly) Murray; one daughter, Gayle (Jameson) Smith; grandchildren, Brennan (Skylar) Murray, Jace Murray, Chandler Kisor, Hunter Fetty, Ellis Smith, Peter Smith, Bailey Moyers, Landon Moyers, Hayden Murray, and Emmy Murray; one sister, Linda Hunt (Tom), and nephews, Jim and Jon, and their families.
Allen was a Christian, and member of the First Baptist Church, Russell. After retiring from management at Pactive Corp., he enjoyed spending his free time hunting with his beloved bird dogs, tinkering with old cars, and going camping with Jan and their many friends from Sunday School class.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Carman Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
