Alice E. Burgess

Alice E. Burgess, 81, of Greenup, passed away, Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, in Glass Personal Care Center.

She was born Feb. 15, 1937, in Greenup, to the late Arthur Boggs and Effie Stafford Boggs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Burgess; two brothers, Paul E. Boggs and John H. Boggs; and one sister, Beulah McCarty.

Alice was of the Baptist Faith and she loved bingo.

She is survived by two brothers, Bertis R. (Nadine) Boggs and Arthur (Kathryn) Boggs; and two sisters, Shirley (Joe) Carr and Bertha (Gene) May.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at funeral home.
