William E. Meeks

William E. Meeks, 74, of Flatwoods, passed away March 30, 2024, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Mr. Meeks was born January 22, 1950, in Logan, WV, the son of the late Elmer Ray McDonald and Joy Lee Powell McDonald.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Henery Meeks; one sister, Belinda Rae Crum.

William was a Pastor for many years and loved being able to serve his Lord and Savior through his ministry, he also attended The Gospel Tabernacle Church in Wayne, WV. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and bowling. William also served his country proudly in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Spence Meeks; daughters, Theresa (Neil) Anthony, and Crystal (Joe) Thompson; sons, William Meeks, Jr., and Jeff (Courtney) Saum; step-daughters, Amy (David) Gray, and Jennifer Campbell; step-son, Aaron Campbell; grandchildren, Andrew Petticrew, Kelsie Petticrew, Zach Petticrew, Corey Petticrew, Eathan Meeks, Gage Browning, Tyler Meeks, Kerstyn Browning, Kaydee Meeks, Bailey Jo Meeks, Tyler Saum, Aiden Saum, Derek Thompson, Zane Thacker, Maci Gray, Jonah Pennington, Luna Bailey, and Wesley Campbell; several great-grandchildren; sister, Debra (Donald) Swims; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Carman Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
