Wanda Jean Garthee-Colley, 81 of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Wanda was born in Greenup, KY on February 22, 1932 to the late Clyde and Opal Sturgill-Garthee. She was a member of the Greenup First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Colley had a passion for painting and spending time her family. She was a member of the Greenup County Homemakers and the Greenup County Women’s Club.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Colley in 1989, her brother Jack Garthee and two great grandchildren.

She leaves behind a loving and devoted family including two sons James Gray, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Bobby Gray of Springfield, MO; one sister Geraldine Townsend and one brother Danny Bill Garthee both of Nicholasville, KY; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Dr. Tommy Melvin officiating burial will follow at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, KY.
