Richard E. Gillian, 68, of Flatwoods passed away Aug. 27, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Gillian was born Oct. 11, 1948 to the late James and Nancy Callihan Gillian in Ashland.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother James Michael Gillian.

Richard was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Basketball team, and also loved to play golf.

Surviving is his fiancé Alisa Brown; one son, Rick (Sara) Gillian; one daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Scott; grandchildren, Megan Anderson, Jenna Anderson, Emily Scott, Kenton Gillian, Caleb Gillian, Autumn Holder, Lauren Holder; one sister, Linda Wyant.

Funeral Services will be at 1 pm, Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Carman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 11 am, Thursday at the funeral home.
