Michael Ray Calhoun, 70, of Flatwoods passed away Aug. 13, 2017 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mr. Calhoun was born June 15, 1947 to the late Clarence and Thelma Calhoun in Ironton.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice Calhoun; daughter, Evelyn Gail Calhoun; brother, Danny Calhoun.

Michael was of the Baptist Faith. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy from 1966-1970, where he served on the USS America, a member of the American Legion Post 325. Michael also loved to fish.

Surviving is one daughter, Donna Calhoun; stepson James Dickens; two grandchildren, James Dickens Jr. and Jennifer Dickens; brother, Douglas (Brenda) Calhoun; nephews, Doug (Meredith) Calhoun, Michael (Jeannie) Calhoun; niece, Christina (Eric) Vincent; special cousins Joyce Adkins, Evelyn Young and Ruth Porter; very special brother and sisters-in-law from Michael’s late wife along with a host of other family and friends.
