Howard Brown 76, of Wurtland passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mr. Brown was born, March 8, 1940 to the late C.M. and Opal Brown in Russell, KY.

Howard is preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Stephens, granddaughter Alexandria Fore and sister Sue Murray.

He was a member of the Wurtland Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired Carman from CSX where he served for 40 years. Howard enjoyed staying busy and constantly working but most of all he loved playing with his grandchildren and being with his family.

He is survived by the love of his life of 50 years, Mary Brown; Children Susan Thompson, Howard (Amy) Brown Jr., and Chris (Barbie) Brown; Grandchildren Justin Fore, Flynn Thompson, Christy Brown, Brittany Brown, Chris Brown Jr., Annalise Brown, and Allen Brown. Also surviving is his great-granddaughter Dixie Colburn and a sister Pat Kirk.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 12 2017 at Carman Funeral Home beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery in South Shore.

Visitation will be Wed. Jan 11, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the funeral Home.
