Ethel Taggart 97, of Flatwoods passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 in Oak Mont Manor Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Taggart was born April 25, 1919 to the late Sam and Mary Vanderpool-Reynolds in Whitley County, KY.

Ethel was of the Baptist Faith. She was a wonderful cook who loved canning and enjoyed working in the yard.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Derl “Bud” Taggart and a pervious husband, James Woodrow “Tubby” Blanton; Brothers Lee Reynolds, and Willard Reynolds; Sisters Joie Akins, Clarie May Bennett, Margaret Chapman, and Mildred Reynolds.

Surviving are two nieces Johnda Dowdy and Yvonne “Bonnie” Kirk, along with a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Jan 31, 2017 beginning at 1 pm in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
