Edwin Talmadge Callihan, III

Edwin Talmadge Callihan, III, 81, of Flatwoods, went to be with his Lord and Savior, April 20, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Callihan was born February 20, 1943, in Ironton, OH, to the late Edwin Talmadge Callihan, Jr., and Ila Mae Howard Callihan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, whom he adored, Eva Sue Wellman Callihan; one brother, Richard “Dickie” Callihan; one sister, Patricia Norris.

Edwin’s life revolved around his family and always made sure that they knew they were loved. He was a kind, generous man with a beautiful soul. He was the best caregiver that his late wife, Eva could have asked for. Mr. Callihan enjoyed playing music, and watching UK Basketball, as well as the Boston Celtics and the Clevland Brown’s.

He is survived by one son, Edwin “Tal” (Sarah) Callihan IV; one daughter, Kelly (Billy) Campbell; grandchildren, Tyler (Amber) Campbell, Rebel (Frank) Barber, Edwin Talmadge (Brittany) Callihan V and Ryleigh “Papoose” Callihan; great-grandchildren, Jackson Campbell, Annabelle Campbell, Edwin Talmadge “Taj” Callihan VI, Soren Callihan, and Kace Barber; brother, Robert "Bob" Callihan; and sister, Sandy (Rick) Jefferson.

Private services will be Thursday, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
